I work in a core company and more often than not, the job profile requires me to travel to different places, which I think is very interesting. So, recently I had been to the coastal city of Kochi in Kerala, and must say, it was such an amazing experience.

The city, which stands as a port from as early as the mid fourteenth century, was open for the European, Chinese and the Arab merchants, looking for trade. The main occupation around this area is all connected to the sea in one or the other way, which is obvious. However, let me dwell on the things to do in Kochi, in this particular blog post.

My air travel journey from Chatrapati Shivaji Airport Mumbai to Biju Patnaik Airport Bhubaneswar was extremely soothing

I am extremely creative in nature and chose to become a mechanical engineer so that I can help in making life easy by creating something new. I need to stay involved with different types of machines and products throughout the day due to which life often tends to get monotonous. And that’s the time when I look at my SLR and rememorize the golden times that I spend with my friends.

I have been avid lover of travelling ever since childhood and never shied away from any opportunity. At times when I don’t get the opportunity to go for a trip, I love to visit movie halls and theatres where different programmes are organized.

Since I work with full dedication and labour all the time, my boss doesn’t mind in giving me leave for a few days so that I can have some fun and come back rejuvenated. I always look forward to breaks so that I can go out and enjoy the beauty of nature.

I am adventurous by nature and love to stay involved in activities such as camping, trekking, boat riding, etc. And how can I miss mentioning my love for different types of cuisines found in various corners of the country. After a long time, I had the opportunity to manage a long break and I chose to enjoy it to the fullest extent with my college friends. I contacted my college buddies and some of them were ready as they were looking for an outing as well.

After a lot of commotion and debates, we came to the conclusion that we would be meeting at Bhubaneswar Airport and then head towards Puri, which is undoubtedly one of the most sought after tourist spots in the country. We chose to travel by Air India Airlines due to the rich history associated with the company. There were many Mumbai Bhubaneswar flights and we were able to choose one as per our convenience.

Thanks to Air India Airlines that the journey was extremely comforting and we landed at Biju Patnaik Airport Bhubaneswar (BBI) in just two hours and ten minutes.

The Royal Stay at Chunda Palace Hotel Udaipur

After reaching the airport, I saw that a cab was already waiting for me sent by the hotel. I had booked the hotel well in advance for my Udaipur trip. I used the hotel booking app for iOS for this purpose. It was a good decision, I must say because it saves a lot of time finding hotels yourself after reaching the destination.

The cab driver took me to the hotel, it was around 25 kms from the airport and it took another 30 minutes to reach there. The traffic was not that huge in the morning and by 11:30 AM i had reached my hotel Chunda Palace hotel Udaypur. The hotel was majestic in structure and resembled a Royal palace. I was stunned by its architecture when I saw it in front of me. Reminiscent of the rich heritage of Rajasthani Royal dynasty, Chunda Palace Hotel looked like a Royal fort.

The staff at the hotel gave me very warm welcome and an immediate refreshment drink after which they completed the check in formalities. I was escorted to my room by the staff at my hotel. The hotel from inside was as stunning as its architecture from outside. The walls of the hotel lobby were decorated with paintings which were handmade and the ceilings depicted Royal era art work.

The services provided by hotel were admirable. They had a terrace restaurant, a trendy bar with vintage wines and drinks, a fitness centre along with a swimming pool and shopping arcade too. The hotel was full of tourists from around the world and one could hear many languages being spoken inside.

The room booked by me was a palace room and it looked amazingly neat and clean with so many features inside. The room had a mini bar, a safe and good internet connection. The bathroom attached to my room was exceptionally well made with Jacuzzi and bathtub. The window of my room which was at the fifth floor of the hotel gave an amazing view of the Lake Pichola of Udaipur.
