It made us feel great being in Bangkok; everything worked out according to our plan. The flight was just on time and we could travel economically using the shuttle service from the Suvarnabhumi Airport to the Baiyoke Sky Hotel. Like many cities around the world, Bangkok is colorful and it has a majority of immigrant population, who bring in better economical growth in the country. Thailand is recently promoting tourism and it is showing results with this industry growing at a faster pace.
We did not have enough time to rest since we reached the hotel at 8.30 am; nevertheless, we planned to start our sightseeing trip at 10.30 am. Starting off in an economical way, we took a bus service to Siam Paragon in Bangkok, which was our first destination. A widely acclaimed tourist destination in the Bangkok city, Siam Paragon is a shopping mall situated on the Rama I Road, which comes under Pathum Wan district.
We got down across the street and walked to the busy Rama Road, where the mall is built on the expansive 13 acres of land. I could figure out that there are five floors in the mall and on the ground floor, we entered through the atrium, which was made of glass and steel. The ground floor is occupied by many luxurious designer brands, which were displayed elaborately to attract buyers. Some of the brands I could recollect are Versace, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and so on.
The first floor housed some of the premium brands like Hugo Boss, Armani, and of course Paul Smith. I longed to have Armani’s dresses, but carefully avoided for I do not want to go costly now. The shops of Gap and H&M were quite spacious and displayed a range of designer wares. On the second and third floors, we were intrigued by the likes of some popular beauty brands and furnishing showrooms.
We walked into an array of luxurious cars displayed by Lamborghini and enjoyed the extravagant showroom and its display. The audio equipment display at the showrooms of Boss and Bang & Olufsen was a treat to watch. On the fourth floor, we saw many restaurants and electronic goods showrooms, while the fifth floor was dedicated to cinema theaters, which include Blue-O Rhythm and iMax of Cineplex.|
We spent about three hours in Siam Paragon and then, moved on to our next destination.
